Succly Plant Guarantee
We guarantee your plants will arrive healthy and ready to grow.
We want you to love your Succly plants! Every plant is hand packed with care and shipped out healthy and happy. Our packaging is designed to protect your plants during transit, but on rare occasions shipping delays or mishandling can cause damage. If anything arrives less than perfect, we’ll make it right.
Here’s exactly what our guarantee covers, and what it doesn’t, so you know when to reach out and when your plant is just doing its thing. 🌱
What’s Covered
We’ll replace your plant if it arrives with:
• Significant structural damage (fully broken main stem or a crushed rosette that affects the overall structure of the plant.)
• Widespread mushy or rotting leaves affecting a large portion of the plant (not just a few individual leaves)
• Dead on arrival (limp, brown, or no signs of life)
• Severe root damage (roots completely detached or missing)
• Excessive leaf loss (more than just a couple leaves, enough to affect the health of the plant)
• Pest infestation on arrival (very rare, we routinely inspect and take preventative measures, but covered if documented with photos)
Send us a photo within 72 hours of delivery so we can take care of it right away with a replacement or full refund.
What’s Not Covered:
Some things may look unusual at first but are normal for succulents. These do not qualify for a replacement:
• Loose or shifted soil. Plants can move in transit. Gently tuck them back in.
• One or two missing leaves. This does not affect plant health.
• A few yellow, soft or dried lower leaves. Succulents naturally shed older leaves as they grow.
• Long stems. This is a normal growth habit for many varieties.
• Minor cosmetic imperfections such as small scars or blemishes. We call these beauty marks.
• Minor cosmetic damage such as slight bends, creases, or small side stem damage. Totally normal from shipping and nothing to worry about, your plant will continue to grow just fine.
• Temporary color changes from shipping stress. Plants settle in once they receive proper light.
• Dry soil. We ship dry to keep roots safe during transit.
• Seasonal dormancy. Some varieties rest at certain times of year and may look less vibrant.
Why We Do This
Succulents are hardy, but they’re also living things. Our guarantee protects you from actual losses, while also helping you understand what’s just part of a plant’s natural life.
If you’re ever unsure, just send us a quick photo. We’re always happy to help you tell the difference between “shipping mishap” and “totally normal succulent behavior.”
Once your plants are in your care, their success depends on factors like watering, light, temperature, and soil conditions, all of which are outside of our control. We’re always happy to offer care guidance, but replacements can only be offered for plants that arrive in poor condition.
That said, we know many of our customers are new growers. Even if it’s been some time since your plant arrived and you’re worried about how it’s doing, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We truly want you to feel successful with your plants and we’ll always do our best to help.
It’s really important to us that you know you’re not on your own after delivery. We’re not here to send you plants and disappear.
We also share care guidance in every box, on our website, on social media, and through email. If you ever have questions or need support, feel free to reach out. We’re always happy to help you troubleshoot.
Healthy plants and happy customers are what Succly is all about. 💚
